At the last meeting of the Exco it was decided that we respond to the plight of Flood victims, on inquiring from the Bishop of Batticaloa he had requested that we give dry rations specailly Milk powder, we appeal to all members to send us a donation of milk powder or a cash donation, Please send your donation to the following addresses.

AWARD OF EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

R I FERNADOPULLE AND DEVA FERNANDOPULLE EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Our Association wishes to award the above scholarships to deserving youth of the community for studies.
We invite Colombo Chetty parents who are interested to apply to the General Secretary, Mrs. Cristobel Saverimuttu at No: 44/5, Jubilee Mawatha, Colombo 15 on or before 15th April 2011, giving details of the student, Age, School attending, grades etc:
Applications will be evaluated and the most suitable applicants will be selected.

History of the Chetties (Book)

A consignment of 1000 copies of the book "History of the Chetties" was handed over to Mr A S Hewege, Director General of The National Library Services and Documentation Board for distribution free of charge to selected schools and Public Libraries Islandwide, The Board will also upload the entire book on its Library Computer system for the benefit af all research students and Historians in Sri lanka and overseas.  Picture shows the President of the Colombo Chetty Association of Sri lanka Mr Shirley P Tissera handing over the book to Mr Hewage at his Office in Colombo.
